Over the past six years, Jess has cultivated a grounded presence as a yoga teacher in London, offering slow and intentional classes that invite students to pause, breathe, and reconnect. Her teaching style has evolved through the exploration of various traditions, leading to a steady, unhurried practice rooted in breath, awareness, and presence.
Jess is also the Studio Director of Basic Space London, home to two welcoming studio spaces in Stockwell and Camberwell, as well as Basic Space at Home.
In a world and a city, that often glorifies speed and intensity, Jess invites you to slow down. Her classes are not about pushing harder or chasing complexity, but about moving with intention, cultivating strength through softness, and listening closely to what’s unfolding in the moment.
You won’t find endless inversions or flashy arm balances in her classes. Instead, you’ll be guided through subtle shifts, held by steady breath and deep presence. These moments, where balance may falter and wobbles interrupt, become opportunities to learn how we bring ourselves back. Each movement, however small, is an invitation to feel more, notice more, and trust the wisdom of your body.
Her approach is intuitive and layered: breath-led, gently challenging, and always grounded in exploration rather than expectation. Playfulness is encouraged, not through intensity, but through the quiet art of paying attention, refining the small things instead of chasing the big picture.
With carefully curated playlists to support the rhythm of each class, Jess creates a space where you can soften into stillness or rise with energy, always at your own pace. Yoga without the rush. A place to breathe, to explore, and to return to yourself.
