terms + conditions
please read and understand our Terms & Conditions detailed below before booking a retreat event with Jess Learoyd Yoga. when booking with Jess Learoyd Yoga, you will be required to confirm your agreement to these Terms & Conditions as part of the booking process.
booking
your booking is not considered definite and no contract will exist until we receive a deposit of £250. by booking a retreat with Jess Learoyd Yoga you are accepting these terms and conditions
deposit
for all retreats all guests will be required to pay an £250 deposit to secure their space on the retreat. this is non refundable and non transferable
payment
the balance payment is due no later than four weeks before the day you are due to arrive. If we do not receive your balance payment, your place may be given to another guest. payment can be paid by bank transfer to the account specified in your original confirmation email sent out at the time of booking.
last-minute bookings must be paid for “in full” at the time of booking.
we may offer last-minute discount places – this does not affect the status of any guests who have previously paid the full price, and no discount will then become due to them.
cancellation policy - made by you
we really hope you won’t need to but if you choose to cancel:
12 weeks or more before the start date of your retreat: you will receive 100% refund excluding the deposit.
6 to 12 weeks weeks before the start date of your retreat: you will receive 50% refund excluding the deposit.
up to 6 weeks before the start of your retreat: 0% refund will be given.
all cancellations must be received in writing.
we do not accept any liability for cancellations, delays or changes caused by war, threat of war, terrorist actions or threats, closure of airports, civil strife, industrial action, natural disaster, technical problems to transport, staff cancellations, unforeseen changes in your personal circumstances or other events beyond our control.
cancellation policy - by us
if for any reason we have to cancel or change the start date of any retreat, for any reason whatsoever, you’re entitled to transfer the sums paid to another retreat (either scheduled or at some future time within the next two (2) years) to be used as credit. alternatively, you may request a refund of payments made by you to us, which will be accommodated promptly, taking into consideration any non-retrievable costs to which we committed in anticipation of your retreat.
we will not be responsible for any extra costs that may be associated with preparing for your retreat, such as and not limited to, travel tickets, loss of work and other costs.
travel arrangements
all travel arrangements are your responsibility and at your own cost. we will not be held liable for any consequences arising from delays or cancellations in any of the companies you may have made arrangements with, or for any irregularities in your documentation required for travel. transfers to/from the retreat are at your own cost, unless otherwise specified.
your health
please know that you will be participating in the retreat and classes at your own risk, and it is your responsibility to let Jess Learoyd Yoga know of any injuries
no later than 4 weeks prior to the retreat you agree to fill out and complete the heathcare form and let Jess Learoyd Yoga know of any mental or physical health conditions before arriving. ultimately we are here to look after you on your retreat but we ask that you are mindful to your body and its capability at all times.
please advise us of any allergies and dietary requirements before you book
general waiver
you agree to sign a waiver with Jess Learoyd Yoga at least 30 days before your retreat start date
you acknowledge that during any retreat with Jess Learoyd Yoga you participate voluntarily in any and all activities arranged, and insofar as is legally permissible, you surrender your right to any cause of action against Jess Learoyd Yoga, their agents, contractor’s, employee’s and directors, arising from any loss or damage to any person or property that occurs during a retreat with Jess Learoyd Yoga up to and including death.
if you are currently pregnant, or under medical or psychiatric supervision, you must provide a Doctor’s certificate confirming your fitness to travel and take part in the retreat as well as notifying Jess Learoyd Yoga. we are also not medically trained and do not know your full medical history so cannot offer any specific medical advice whilst at the retreat.
Jess Learoyd Yoga will not accept liability for:
any of the above events, or others beyond our control.
loss, damage, injury or illness whilst you are away with us, or for any travel costs to or from the retreat site.
it is your responsibility to ensure that your possessions are kept safe at all times. we cannot be held responsible for any loss or damage to personal belongings during the retreat
physical, medical or psychiatric conditions developing during or after your retreat.
privacy policy
we do not store or hold any credit / debit card details. all payments are made by bank transfer. we do not share customer details with any 3rd parties. any personal information that you provide to us will be used only for the service you requested. this information is used only for administration of the site system and in the compilation of statistics used by us to assess the use of the site.
we will use your mobile number for a potential Whatsapp group that we might create at the start of the yoga holiday to communicate with everyone in the group. you agree to have your mobile number shared with other participants of the yoga group as well as with Jess Learoyd. we will not share your contact information with any third-party agencies.
when completing the booking we will collect the name and telephone number of an emergency contact for you prior to every yoga retreat. we will use this information and contact this person only for emergency reasons. we may disclose this person’s name and telephone number to third parties such as retreat/venue managers and Jess Learoyd if needed in an emergency.

you hereby grant to Jess Learoyd Yoga has the absolute and irrevocable right, and unrestricted permissions to use photographic portraits/images/videos in which you feature that are taken during the retreat to use/republish/copyright, etc. for commercial use in association with Jess Learoyd Yoga. you hereby release and discharge Jess Learoyd Yoga from any and all claims and demands arising out of or in connection with the use of the photographs and video footage, including without limitation any and all claims for libel or invasion of privacy.
by booking any retreat with us you agree to be bound by and adhere to all policies and rules.
